Bluebird Visit Starts New Year on a Good Note

My sister writes a weekly column for the Berkshire Eagle paper of Pittsfield, MA. Lots of subjects, but she is an ardent birder (much better than I). I thought you and others would be interested in this one!

A bluebird made an appearance in a flowering crab tree during an early November snowstorm a few years ago. The author spotted a bluebird on Jan. 1, a hopeful sign for the year to come.
