Shorebird Migration Program Hosted by Kiawah Island Conservancy

Red Knots on North Beach – Ed Konrad

The Seabrook Island Birders would like to encourage anyone who is interested in shorebirds and shorebird migration to consider attending the program Shorebirds, the Worlds Greatest Travelers , hosted by the Kiawah Island Conservancy on February 27 at 3:00 PM.

Nathan Senner will discuss shorebird migration along the South Carolina coast and how local conservation efforts can have big results. This timely program will be occurring just before our Red Knots will be making their way back to the Seabrook Island beaches. What a great way to gain some perspective on what their journey is like.

The Kiawah Island Conservancy is graciously offering this free program at the Sandcastle on Kiawah Island. There are a limited number of tickets, however, so sign up soon to reserve your seat. You can link here to register – Kiawah Island Conservancy .

Also, consider signing up for the Conservancy’s newsletter, as their nonprofit organization offers many wonderful programs throughout the year.
